Trump keeps losing in court because Presidents can’t amend, suspend, or ignore the Constitution, supersede statutes enacted by Congress, cancel or impound congressional appropriations, shutter agencies created by statute use mass layoffs to incapacitate agencies established by Congress, nor overrule judicial decisions. All of which he’s tried to do via Presidential Executive Orders. Who knew?

excllent piece. right wing podcaster Candice Owens, a huge trump supporter, said she does not recognize this administration anymore, Joe Regan called trump out, on immigration not having hearings for the deportees, perhaps the maggats are seeing some things for what they actually are.
I hope you’re right, Guy, but I wouldn’t bet on it. Never trust a Trumper, is my motto, because supporting Trump is a profoundly irrational act.
A good summary. His ratings are falling. The courts are noticing. Resistance is growing. The country might survive him but so much damage will be done.
I believe we will survive, Wilbur, but the damage he will leave behind will be significant, and our standing in the world will never recover because other nations will always wonder when the next Trump type will get elected.

Your last paragraph is as complete a dirty laundry list as I could imagine.
I just saw a corroborating piece of poll data that is as disturbing as I can, again, imagine: 15% of those polled believe that Trump should ignore the Supreme Court if it rules against him.
I just hope that, somehow, the damage he is causing can be ameliorated.
