Today is the release of my new book (Unbinding Christianity: Choosing the Values of Jesus over the Beliefs of the Church) I wrote about in my last blog earlier this week. Amazon has listed the book at $25.17, which is a mistake. It should be $16.95. My publisher is in contact with them now. I am very dismayed that on the day of its release they would make such a blunder. This morning you could get it from Amazon at the correct price via other sources listed on the page, but now they won’t even let you do that. Something is very messed up. If you pre-ordered, you are okay because the price was correct until today. If you want to order it now, use B & N, some other store, or order it directly from my publisher by going to http://www.universal-publishers.com and type in my name and/or the title.
Thank you for your patience and support.
Jan,Polly preordered from Amazon last week.Weâre looking forward to reading it.Thanks,Bob Sent from Mail for Windows 10 From: linnposts.comSent: Saturday, February 15, 2020 5:12 PMTo: bflint@lgflint.comSubject: [New post] Amazon Book Pricing Problem linnposts.com posted: "Today is the release of my new book (Unbinding Christianity: Choosing the Values of Jesus over the Beliefs of the Church) I wrote about in my last blog earlier this week. Thanks, Bob. I think you will find it worth the read.
But you’re #1 on Amazon preorders!
I guess that’s some consolation. Actually, I think that is what triggered the entire mess, strange as that sounds. Amazon was trying to capitalize on the sales. Book Depository that has the listing is an Amazon company. Can’t be coincidental.
I am anticipating it, as well. Today Amazon notified me its delivery window is a month or two from now…
Dirk, that’s ridiculous. I would cancel the order and order from the publisher or Barnes & Noble. I will forward your comment to my publisher who wants to know what is going on.
Thanks, Jan. I was just online with Amazon and got them to cancel my pre-order by pointing out their site says if I buy it today I will arrive March 3-10, a month earlier than my pre-order. Only thing is if I buy it today the price is back up to $25.21!
Dirk, I would buy it from B&N right now. Amazon is trying to force my publisher (and others) to use its platform for printing and distribution instead of the largest one in the nation they are now using. Bezos wants to control that market, too. My publisher is going to do that for my book in order to get Amazon to list it at $16.95 on its own site. That should be done in a week. You can wait or order from B&N, my publisher, or some other bookseller. It’s all about Amazon exerting its power to take over book printing and distribution completely. Very frustrating.
No worries, thanks – I bought it directly from your publisher, yesterday. Truly looking forward to reading the final product!
Hi Jan, your book must be selling like carry because I ordered it about a week ago, or whenever you announced it… and was told it would be delivered today. Today I got a notice it will be delivered sometime in March or April.

Bonnie, do what I just told someone else to do. Cancel the Amazon order and order from B & N or, better yet, the publisher. Thank you for buying it. Don’t know what has happened at Amazon, but I will send your comment to my publisher as well.
I hope you sell a million copies!
Amazon seems to be making it as difficult as possible.
How frustrating for you! Anyhow, I look forward to getting and reading it.
Alice, it has been extremely frustrating. They are not even listing the book at the $16.95 price they had on Amazon itself before Saturday. I am hoping my publisher will get this straight today. Let me know your response once you’ve read it. Jan
