Since someone asked about it I want to let everyone who reads my Blog know that starting with yesterday’s post on Nepal I have stopped posting my Blog on Facebook.
It’s not that I never will again, only that with rare exception Blogs seem to me to be something people should choose to read rather than having it imposed on them. I know that choice is available on Facebook, but lately I have been feeling like posting it is essentially immodest. Wanting people to read what you write may seem like the obvious reason people do it, but while that is a hope, it is not the reason writers write. We write because we have to. I have several books on my computer that will never see the light of day, but I needed to write them anyway.
So my Blog is a practical way to share what I would write anyway with those of you who have chosen to follow it. Thank you for being one of them. You are all the audience I need.
